20 Quotes That Should Inspire You to Confront Your Own B.S. and Be A Better Version of Yourself
Nothing can hold you back more than an unwillingness to confront your own B.S. I found this out for myself about myself. There are certain Belief Systems (B.S.) that we hold for no other reason except that we heard it somewhere from someone and decided to believe it. We also have Blind Spots (more B.S.) where our view of life is obstructed because of the beliefs we hold. Then there is our actual B.S. where we our challenged to change ourselves or even acknowledge that we need to change.

We don't need to change the situation, we must change ourselves
We have this belief that situations need to change when in actuality they can not unless we change. Situations are created from our actions. So it is we who need to change and confront the B.S. in our own life. It is easy to recognize when we see it others, it is not so easy to acknowledge our own. Self growth comes from challenging our contradictions and beliefs we hold that limit our ability to see beyond what we think we believe. I constantly challenge the origin of my thoughts and have been through the process of analyzing what I believe. What I discovered is that I had to unlearn some things and dismantle some beliefs I was holding for the simple reason I could not identify their source. I believe this is what we all must do to be a better version of ourselves.
If you want to read a great book on confronting your own B.S. I would highly recommend a book by Derek Doepker, Breakthrough Your BS, Uncover your Brain's Blind Spots And Unleash Your Inner Greatness
It's a very enlightening read!
